SCOTT’S STORIES

Story_Telling.jpg

A dozen years ago I told a "made up" bedtime story to our children, Ryan and Alyssa, shamelessly plagiarized from bits of Hansel and Gretel, Star Wars and the Wizard of Oz. I expected a patronizing "Dad, that was OK, but could read a story next time?" and instead got a "That was neat, tell me another!", and I was hooked. Over the years more than a dozen stories came to be, often built around a kernel of an idea that either Ryan or Alyssa would suggest; "Dad; what would it be like if there were "Imagination Glasses?".

Eventually I started telling the stories to their classes at Niwot Elementary school. It was great fun, and although they have moved on to High School and College, I continue to tell Mr. Tibbitts Stories in the classrooms.

When students started asking for MP3's of the stories to share with their families, I started recording the stories and handing them out as CD's, which has evolved to this download page, making getting the stories from here to there easier for all.

Through the year I'll be adding stories as they are told at Niwot Elementary. You can either listen to the stories here, or download them for your iPod listening pleasure.

Enjoy!

Scott
